InHealth is thrilled to announce the recent addition of Matt Harrelson to the team! Matt is a highly experienced certified athletic trainer (ATC) who has worked extensively with elite and Olympic-level athletes as a member of the Stanford University Sports Medicine Team. Matt graduated from Azusa Pacific University in 2009 with a bachelor degree in Athletic Training and completed a masters degree in Kinesiology from San Jose State University in 2011. Matt specializes in chronic injury management, corrective exercise strategies and resolving global movement patterns. Perhaps even more impressive than Matt’s credentials are his sense of humor and positivity. Here’s what a few of the professional athletes who had the opportunity to work with Matt at Stanford have to say about him:
“I have had the pleasure of knowing and working with Matt for six years as a collegiate track and field athlete at Stanford and professional athlete here in Seattle. I have been able to witness first hand how much knowledge Matt has gained alongside how much his love for his job has grown over this period of time. It is clear why Matt joined the InHealth team as he, like the rest of the team, is passionate about helping others whether they are trying to overcome pain, comeback from an injury, or make an Olympic team. Matt’s upbeat attitude and patience while explaining preventive measures and treatments makes for a speedy recovery in addition to enjoyable routine appointments. His positive outlook and drive compliments that of the rest of the squad at InHealth and I wouldn’t want to work with anyone else!”

“During my time as an athlete and coach, Matt is one of the best trainers I’ve had the pleasure of coming in contact with. His best quality is the passion he invests in his work and the athletes he’s treating. Whether you’re trying to diagnose an injury, rehab a chronic problem, or just proactively care for your body to make sure you’re ready to push it to the next level, you need to have someone you can trust to be both knowledgeable about the treatment options and dedicated to personalizing that treatment for you. Matt is the epitome of that person.”
- Garrett Heath, World Cross Country Champion, Brooks Beast Track Club
“Matt was an integral part of my collegiate track career as my athletic trainer - he was always present, patient, and tireless in his search for solutions. As a track team we presented him with diverse challenges on a daily basis and he always managed our crises with good humor. He was my partner through many injuries and was the secret hero behind multiple comebacks!”
